T.E.A.C.H

Therapist Empowerment and Care Hub (T.E.A.C.H) is the educational and professional development wing of Whaterr Solutions. This is a community of mental health professionals (aspiring as well as practicing) who have united with the single goal of growing together and bringing a change in the mental health care industry. This community is also a nest for Indian mental health professionals to feel at home, no matter which part of the globe they might be in.
Diversity is one of the core features of this community; geographical diversity (even though most of us are from India, we do have members who are located across the globe), diversity of experience (while a majority of our members are students, we also have members with more than a decade of experience as practitioners), and diversity of expertise (we have practitioners of SFBT, CBT, ACT, DBT, Psychoanalysis, and other western modalities, along with practitioners who are proficient in eastern techniques like Pranic Healing, Reiki, and Qi Gong, among others, and practitioners of expressive arts).
As a part of the professional development of our community members, following are our key offerings:
-
Group Supervision: Every Tuesday, 6 to 8 PM (IST), our co-founder, Mr. Harish Bhuvan holds the space for group supervision where our members discuss cases and/or challenges they are struggling with in their profession.
-
Mock Therapy Sessions: Every Wednesday, 7 to 9 PM (IST), our co-founder, Mr. Amaresh Nath facilitates a mock therapy session, where a 40 minute roleplay (during which two volunteers enact the roles of a client and a therapist) is followed by three rounds of discussion. We begin with observations and reflections from the case presented, then we have a round of case conceptualization and future intervention plans, and then if time permits, we have a round of Q&A to clarify doubts and queries in relation to the case presented.
-
One-on-One Guidance: Our co-founders also hold space for one-on-one supervision and mentorship for our community members where no conversation is off the table as long as it pertains to the profession of mental health care. Members can discuss cases, seek guidance regarding any aspect of their profession, brush up on theoretical content, plan events (workshops, support groups, and more), work on research, and much more in these one-on-one spaces.
-
Anything Can Happen Monday: A little bit of unpredictability adds flavor to life, and Mondays play that role in our community. We meet every Monday, 7 to 9 PM (IST) where sometimes we have book/movie discussions, sometimes we have workshops, sometimes we have AMA sessions with our co-founders, and sometimes, a lot more!
-
Training programs: We organize intensive training programs on various topics pertaining to theoretical as well practical aspects of the profession of mental health care on a periodical basis for our community members.
Conscious Community Collective Fund
We are excited to have started a community fund that is by the community and for the community. This is a fund that will grow as the community grows, and the more the fund grows, the better we will be able to serve the members of the community!
We have curated a unique ecosystem around this fund that stands on three pillars:
1. P.A.R.A.C.H.U.T.E. (Practical Application, Reflection, and Academic Coaching for Holistic Understanding, Training, and Exposure): This is an out-of-the-box apprenticeship program for the students in our community. Participate in our live sessions and take up projects you would want to work on (projects can be workshops, events, research, books, products, a business plan, or any other medium through which you would want to utilize your knowledge of psychology and mental health). Apart from that, you shall also have access to our co-founders and lead supervisors, Mr. Amaresh Nath and Mr. Harish Bhuvan, from whom you can seek one-on-one supervision and mentorship.
Contribution to the community fund: Pay as you like (minimum Rs. 200) per month.
2. L.A.U.N.C.H.P.A.D. (Learning, Advancement, and Up-skilling Network for Counselors’ Holistic Professional & Applied Development): A platform for our members who are early-career and mid-career MHPs to launch themselves and their brands. Are you feeling stuck in your career, feeling that things are not going as planned, needing an ecosystem to become your best professional version, wanting to explore private practice, or looking to grow your revenue inflow? Let us serve as the launchpad from which you can take your career to the next level. This space provides everything included in P.A.R.A.C.H.U.T.E., along with professional grooming, brand consultation, and the opportunity for co-facilitation of events with our co-founders (with revenue sharing).
Contribution to the community fund: Pay as you like (minimum Rs. 400) per month.
3. C.O.P.I.L.O.T. (Collaborative Optimization & Professional Innovation for Leadership, Outreach, and Transformation): A platform for our members who have established brands and are looking to take their brands to the next level. Growing a brand is challenging, and the journey of an entrepreneur can be quite isolating, so let us share some of this load with you. This space offers everything included in L.A.U.N.C.H.P.A.D., along with having our co-founders as co-pilots for your business, collaboratively navigating the challenges of your business, and helping it scale.
Contribution to the community fund: Pay as you like (minimum Rs. 1000) per month.
Additional perks for the paying members:
1. P.A.R.A.C.H.U.T.E.: Priority slots for one-on-one sessions with our co-founders and a 20% discount on our paid events (organized by Amaresh & Harish).
2. L.A.U.N.C.H.P.A.D.: Priority slots for one-on-one sessions with our co-founders and a 50% discount on our paid events (organized by Amaresh & Harish).
3. C.O.P.I.L.O.T.: Priority slots for one-on-one sessions with our co-founders and a 100% discount on our paid events (organized by Amaresh & Harish).
How the fund will support the entire community: We at Whaterr Solutions hold transparency as one of our core values, so we want to be transparent about how the funds will be used as well. Initially it will help us continue keeping our Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday sessions free of cost for the entire community, as well as supporting the non-paying members with one-on-one supervision & mentorship. As the fund grows, we would be able to gradually provide the following:
-
Introduce more spaces for the weekly live sessions for the entire community;
-
Take subscriptions (AI tools, learning resources, and other resources to help our community members grow) and share the credentials with every member;
-
Provide sponsorship for members who are unable to join events conducted by other community members due to financial reasons;
-
Provide research grants to community members who want to pursue research projects (if it is qualitative research, our co-founder, Mr. Amaresh, would be happy to be your research guide and co-researcher);
-
Provide educational scholarships to deserving members to pursue their professional upscaling and/or higher education;
-
Seed funding for members who want to convert their business ideas into reality or growth funds for those who want to accelerate their existing brands.
-
And more
WhatsApp Community
WhatsApp is our primary mode of communication and as a part of the ecosystem, we have one primary group and multiple subgroups. The main group serves the following purposes:
-
A place for Indian MHPs no matter which part of the globe we are in, to feel at home;
-
Having important discussions around Mental Health that often go undiscussed;
-
Sharing updates about the T.E.A.C.H community and our offerings;
-
Reaching out to fellow MHPs for support;
-
Sharing client referrals;
-
Exploring collaborations;
-
Reminders for our Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday live sessions
Following our currently operational subgroups:
-
Promotional: A space for members to promote their work, share social media content relevant to our profession, and share forwards regarding internship/job opportunities
-
Artist's Collective: MHPs who are also artists, dancers, singers, performers, theatre artists, and/or use expressive arts in your therapeutic practice, this is the space for you... a space for you to unleash your creative genius! This is a space to mingle with folks with whom you can jam or collaborate with. This is also a space to have conversations around therapeutic modalities that incorporate various forms of art and expression (and possibly even organize training programs).
-
Researcher's Guild: A space for MHPs who are passionate about research to unite. This subgroup has the following intentions: a) Have conversations about research and demystify research; b) Facilitate MHPs to find fellow researchers (and possible co-authors); c) Facilitate peer review among fellow researchers (and revive the true notion of peer review); d) In the long run, start our own journal and conferences.
-
Spiritual Seeker's Collective: A space to have deep, thought provoking conversations... conversations that help us know ourselves better and help make better sense of life.
-
Rant Central: As mental health professionals, it can at times feel overwhelming to constantly wear the professional hat (which at times also becomes a mask in personal life). This is a safe space specially created for MHPs to rant and vent. If you want, keep this group on mute and visit this space just to rant and vent (and possibly also connect with folks who are on the same boat as you).
-
Founder's Collective: Being an MHP in itself is a lonely journey, and so is being a founder of an organization. The struggles double when one is an MHP as well as a founder. This space is exclusively for MHPs who are founders to brainstorm, explore collaborations, pool in collective resources of one's respective teams (If you have one), and overall replace competition with warm cooperation amongst us.
-
Gamer's Collective: Gaming is proven to have therapeutic implications. This subgroup has two purposes: A. Have conversations about how gaming can be incorporated in the therapy process; B. MHPs who are gamers to connect with fellow gamers
-
Movies and Books Lovers: A space to explore books and movies through the lens of mental health. Let's read books (fiction and non fiction) together and watch shows and movies together and have conversations about the content through the lens of mental health and therapy. Even if we don't read or watch together, we can still initiate conversations about books, movies, and shows.
-
Self-Care Central: An empty cup can't pour into another... so come, let's explore various strategies, tools, and tips for self care! This is a space to share and explore means and measures of taking care of yourself so that you can be a more efficient MHP.
-
Holistic Healers: Mental health can't and should not be limited to the textbook therapeutic modalities. This group is for MHPs who incorporate other modalities of healing that are considered alternative modalities (but should become mainstream).
-
Traveler's Express: Travelling is not only therapeutic, but also helps us grow as human beings. This group is for travel enthusiasts to plan trips and retreats.
-
Traumatized Therapists Collective: Many MHPs carry a traumatic past that we are unable to share with others and this continues to fester within us, wrecking our nervous system. This is a space to drop the hat and connect with fellow survivors, so that we can unburden ourselves, and hopefully have less spillage with our clients.
If you want to be a part of this unique and vibrant community and help us take the professional development of mental health care professionals to the next level, especially for the coming generations, drop a mail at support@whaterr.com along with your updated CV.
